Large State owned electricity utility requires a SECTION LEADER for its POLES & TOWERS STRATEGIC ASSET MANAGEMENT section. You will be based in one of Australia's beautiful capital cities.

SOME OF THE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF SECTION LEADER

• Lead, coordinate, be accountable for and set strategic direction for multi-disciplined teams of professional technical employees in the Section responsible for strategic asset management of poles and towers assets associated with power transmission and distribution.
• Significantly contribute to business safety, regulatory and reliability performance through best of the class asset management strategies for poles and towers.
• Improves efficiencies in the end-to-end delivery of the works program.
• Improve spend and resource optimisation through leading development and implementation of end to end processes which ensure effective management of in-service assets.
• Reduction in business risk associated with the poles and tower assets.
• Management of large population of aged and under performing wood pole assets in distribution network.
• Champion change throughout the business by leading the drive for continuous business improvement.

CRITERIA

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and/or Civil & Structural Engineering.
• Eligible for  membership with Engineers Australia.
• Eligibility for certification by Asset Management Council.
• 10+ years post qualification experience in Distribution / Transmission Power Utility Asset Management, including poles & towers management.
• Strong leadership skills with background in development of staff and driving an achievement culture.
• Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.
• Track record of successfully implementing change and innovation.
• Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Extensive experience in written procedures and policy documentation.

REMUNERATION

• AUD 180,000 per annum including superannuation.
• Relocation allowace, costs of visa and sponsorship into Australia if relocation required.
• State funded Living Away From Home Allowance (LAFHA) for eligible applicants - should equate to around AUD 11,000 to 14,000 per annum (income tax not applicable).
