Our client is a 4,000 strong conglomerate headquartered in DAMMAM, SAUDI ARABIA, but operating across the region.  

DAMMAM is a 30km drive from the Middle East's business & financial hub of Bahrain, a centre of excitement and all that the Middle East has to offer. This role will be based in Jubail (Al Jubayl), about a 75km drive NNW of Dammam, still very accessible to Bahrain for weekend holidays. The role will require you to travel throughout the Kingdom in order to access and manage multiple locations.  

Established in the 1950s, our Client operates across a diverse range of commercial and industrial interests including Automation & Control, Trading, Marine, Engineering, Contracting, Retail, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Transport, Logistics, and Telecommunications. 

Our client seeks an experienced Operations Manager with significant CONTRACTOR EXPERIENCE, possessing a sound knowledge of refinery, petrochemical, power industry maintenance and shutdown works, for its INDUSTRIAL CLEANING / WASTE SERVICES division.

The anticipated start date is January / February 2010.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS 

• Minimum of 5 years management experience
• Experience in refinery, petrochemical, power industry maintenance and shutdown works.
• Experienced contractor with most or all of waste management, chemical cleaning, ultra-high pressure water jetting, catalyst handling and inert-entry, abrasive blasting application of protective coatings, tank and vessel cleaning, on-line leak sealing, decontamination, and steam and air-blowing.
• Experience within operations management of multiple or remote sites
• Good knowledge of health & safety
• Strong organisational ability 
• Sound business experience within a service industry 
• Able to prepare quotations and proposals
