Our Client's ongoing expansion now calls for a DIRECTOR FINANCE & ACCOUNTS  to be based in Dubai, an urgent requirement with immediate start available.

DUTIES

• Manage Accounts and Finance Department and ensure objectives are achieved and adhered to. 
• Direct & oversee all financial, treasury, accounting, budget, tax and audit activities of the organisation 
• Oversee financial and accounting system controls and standards, and ensure timely financial and statistical reports for Management and / or Board use. 
• Direct & supervise the process of formulating policies and systems necessary to maintain proper records, and implement adequate accounting, legal and finance control and services.
• Oversee and direct the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns and reports for government regulatory agencies. 
• Develop financial systems to facilitate informal decision making and monitor performance. 
• Discuss and provide input for the financial feasibility of potential projects proposed by the core function Heads. 
• Review reports to analyse projection of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggest methods of improving the planning process. 
• Liaise with stock market, business press and business analyst community. 
• Oversee the distribution of profit, issuance of new stock, and transfer of shares. 
• Act as an advisory entity to the Chairman and Managing Director on all finance and accounting matters. 
• Management and direction of all support functions which falls within the jurisdiction of the Director Finance and Accounts.

• Minimum  20 years post qualified experience. 
• Minimum 15 years Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) experience.
• Minimum of 10 years UAE experience.
• Currently available in UAE.
• Some experience in the set up of a distribution company. 
• Capable of providing strategic, financial and commercial advice. 
• Any two of either FCA, CPA, or CFA qualifications.
• Similar experience as CFO or equal, reporting to the Chairman or Board Of Directors, in an organisation which has multiple office locations with at least 500 staff. 
• Similar experience in Accounts and Finance, including experience with the valuation of companies and assets.
