PC SUPPORT ANALYST - TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA - GOVERNMENT

Our Client is a leading Canadian government agency with an enviable reputation for job satisfaction and career opportunities. Our Client requires a PC SUPPORT ANALYST for a responsible position in the GREATER TORONTO area.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responds to user questions and resolves PC hardware and software issues.
  • Monitors master consoles, troubleshoots and maintains computer systems and networks, including E-Mail and Dictation Systems.
  • Monitors external access and control to maintain system security.
  • Troubleshoots and supports all desktop related applications, including the end user support of MS Office.
  • Delivers personal computers, sets up and instructs staff on its operation.
  • Tests new equipment; installs upgrade software and hardware; and creates, maintains and configures user databases
  • and systems if required.
  • Sets up network drives and file sharing over the network. 
  • Performs backups of all corporate systems to tape and ensures integrity of the information.
  • Loads computer tapes and disks and installs computer program software and printer paper and
  • forms. Operates spreadsheet programs and other types of software to load and manipulate data
  • and to produce reports.
  • Maintains and updates technical and user documentation as directed.

YOU WILL HAVE ...

  • Minimum of 3 years experience providing high level technical support in a corporate environment.
  • Expert knowledge of Windows XP, Vista, NT, MS Office, Lotus Notes, MS Office and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Accredited post secondary degree or diploma in a Computer Science or PC Technician program or equivalent education background and work experience.
  • Ability to meet enhanced security clearance requirements.
  • Valid Ontario class G drivers license.
