Our Client is a leading Canadian government agency with an enviable reputation for job satisfaction and career opportunities. Our Client requires a SENIOR ANALYST PROGRAMMER for a highly responsible position in the GREATER TORONTO area.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyse existing software and data resources to data quality and issue reports on performance management to facilitate staffing and service delivery needs analyses.
  • Ensuring system functionality, correctness, reliability, efficiency, accuracy and integrity of data.
  • Designs and implements complete solutions to facilitate policy and procedural changes.
  • Support performance management and consult and communicate with IT Management and Directors on all data extraction, manipulation, interfaces, and business tools software integration, which may affect current or future data integrity and operations overall systems.
  • Monitor data quality by establishing business rules, analysing errors and exceptions, and regularly reporting on the results.
  • Maintain data analysis applications and the interfaces between different systems and to support regular production of analytical reports and business intelligence.
  • Provide technical expertise, explanations and advice regarding computer systems to the IT Systems Analsyts and management.
  • Analyse new system protocols to determine the impact on the current system.
  • Create and maintain complete user and technical documentation manuals for new or modified software and its integration onto the IT environment.
  • Train users and PC Support Technicians on new and modified developments.

YOU WILL HAVE ...
  • Minimum of 3 years experience analysing large complex databases coupled with project management skills.
  • Knowledge of systems analysis and design using Oracle, VMS-RMS, UNIX, C, C++, Cobal, VAX, SQL, MS 2003 system interfacing.
  • Accredited university degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, OR equivalent education background and work experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced level skills in using spreadsheets and databases.
  • Ability to meet enhances security clearance requirements.
  • Valid Ontario class G drivers license.
