A qualified and experienced MARKET DEVELOPMENT MANAGER is needed for a newly created position to be based in BRAZIL, SOUTH AMERICA. If you have the skills, experience and passion needed, you could be part of an exciting future as our Client's business, brand and product lines grow.

Reporting to the General Manager Emerging Markets, your primary purpose will be to maximise long term grower returns by creating sustainable growth across the emerging market of Brazil, involving the development and implementation of marketing plans with the objective of driving sales.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & TASKS

• In conjunction with the global marketing team, develop marketing plan for Brazil.
• Develop enduring partnerships and relationships with retail and distribution partners, key service providers, customers, government departments and other stakeholders.
• Meet and exceed the assigned sales goals for the region.
• Manage all aspects of marketing activity.
• Monitor all aspects of the market, providing ongoing strategic input.
• In time, develop and maintain efficient distruibution and operational infrastructure.
• Monitor supply and inventory planning.
• Travel the region expanding brand and product awareness.
• Able to influence, planning organising delegating skills.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• 3+ years experience living in South America, and working in the South American fresh produce industry.
• International experience / exposure.
• The right to work in Brazil.
• Fluent in English and Brazilian Portuguese languages (written and verbal).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Superior relationship management and networking skills.
• Pursuasive and influential.
• Precise and timely reporting skills.
• IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Self motivated problem solver with good diagnostic ability.
• Able to work autonomousy, but communicate effectively with a remote team.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively in the region.
• Dynamic, energetic, with flair, drive and commitment.
• Commercial and strategic thinker.
• Proactive in identifying riks and opportunities, and acting on them.
• Embraces and drives change. Adaptable.
