An Accounts Payable Clerk is needed within an accounting team, based in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. This is a split shift position hours of work 8am - 1pm  then 5pm - 8pm.

DUTIES

• Provide financial, administrative and clerical services including processing and monitoring of outgoing payments.
• Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services.
• Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
• Prepare batches of invoices for data entry.
• Data enter invoices for payment.
• Process backup reports after data entry.
• Manage the cheque run.
• Record all cheques.
• Prepare vendor cheques for mailing.
• Maintain accounts payable directory, vendor and inventory files.
• Maintain the general ledger.
• Print and distribute monthly financial reports.
• Maintain a filing system for all financial documents.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial and employee files.
• Perform other related duties as required.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Male Arab national aged 25 to 32 years.
• 4+ years experience in accounts payable.
• Tertiary qualification in accounting or related discipline, or industry certification.
• Knowledge of accounts receivable and maintaining general ledgers.
• Accuracy with data input.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial and employee files.
• Computer literate, including proficiency with computerised accounting, spreadsheet and
  wordprocessing applications, and email.
• Honest and trustworthy, respectful, culturally aware and sensitive, flexible, and diligent work ethic.
• Willing to work split shift from 8am to 1pm then 5pm to 8pm, Sunday to Thursday.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

• Knowledge of payroll functions.
• Jordanian national

REMUNERATION

• AED 8,000 to 10,000 per month commensurate with qualifications, experience and overall suitability.
