Our client is a Power and Desalination Plant located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Due to project expansion a Procurement Officer is required immediately.


DESCRIPTION
  • Responsible for the ordering of spare and consumable parts and supplies and knowledgeable in materials management systems.
  • Knowledge of material and parts requisitioning, receiving reports, vendors, and suppliers, import duties and shipping terms and methods.
  • Assist the maintenance and planning / scheduling departments for procurement of parts and supplies on a timely basis, retrieved and packaged for delivery to the end user.
  • Supervise storekeepers and the storeroom operation to meet material management performance.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
  • At least three years experience, of which one year in a power / desalination plant.
  • Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering Operations Management
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS)
  • Experience in computer applications such as word processing (Word, Word Perfect), MP2, spread sheets (Excel, Lotus), graphics (Freelance, PowerPoint), typing, and telephone use.
  • Excellent knowledge in Maximo system for processing various requisitions, orders and payments.
  • Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical, organised, and ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Team player and strong inter-personal skills.
  • Driving license.

DESIRABLES
  • Abu Dhabi / UAE experience.
  • CNIA experience.

REMUNERATION
  • AED 9,000 to 13,000 per month (includes accommodation and transport allowances), depending on experience and qualifications
