Our Client is a UK registered & capitalised bank offering personal and business banking services with direct presence in all the major financial centres of the world. A Senior Relationship Manager is needed for UAE assignment.
JOB PURPOSE- Initiate, formulate, agree, and implement business strategies pertaining to Trade Finance, financial institutions, deposit mobilisation, and business lending, to achieve quality business growth.
- Meet / exceed budgets for revenue and profitability whilst maintaining and improving portfolio quality.
- Cultivate, foster, and develop customer relationships.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Contributes to the overall Client Relationships strategy and business plans and further initiates, co-ordinates and implements the business plan for the assigned specific areas and monitors progress towards its achievement.
- Identifies and disseminates information and alerts management to trends and risks and to opportunities to maximise earnings.
- Migrate best practices from existing Businesses and increase opportunities for the Bank.
- Identifies and markets new remunerative business to expand the Bank’s portfolio and enhance revenue generation at an acceptable risk.
- Monitors market and competitor activity to ensure that opportunities for new business are not overlooked and market share is not eroded.
- Maintain regular official and social contact with individual, corporate and FI customers.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of an effective marketing strategy in order to maintain and increase market share, as well as to generate profitable business opportunities for the Group’s offices and other product partners.
- Maintains the business portfolio risk profile within agreed parameters at all times, including effective phasing out of the Exit Accounts and monitoring/ reporting of irregularities and customer KYC, AML etc.
- Credit Risk Assessment by means of financial and other analyses.
- Recommend, support, or approve credit proposals.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- At least 8 years experience in Corporate / Commercial Banking /FI business including within a Foreign / Multinational Bank.
- An in-depth knowledge of Trade Finance, Treasury and other cross functional products.
- Strong marketing skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
- A good understanding of the general, economic, political and business environment of the region.
- A post graduate Business degree- MBA / ACA from a reputed institution.
- Computer literacy at user level.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- Good organisational leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and negotiation skills.
