Our client is part of a benchmark, blue-chip global organisation generating outstanding profit growth and shareholder value in high growth markets. With dominant market share in Australia and marketing a range of innovative and essential building products, the business is extending its current operations into the rapidly expanding building and construction markets of the Middle East and Indian sub-continent.

Based in Dubai, and reporting to senior management in Melbourne, you have regional autonomy and accountability with direct responsibility for profit growth. Working closely with the current customer base, whilst developing new business and expanding the current distributor network across the region you will spearhead expansion in these critical markets.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an outstanding sales management track record in the building industry and/or relevant export markets. Your proven ability to shape a profitable operation, develop business infrastructure and an understanding of local culture are essential. Leadership, visionary strategic thinking and commercial acumen will be cornerstone requirements.

The anticipated start date is April 2010.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 5 years sales management experience
Outstanding sales management track record in the building industry
Thorough understanding of building industry product applications
Proven ability to shape a profitable operation and develop business infrastructure
An understanding of local business culture
Leadership, visionary strategic thinking and commercial acumen
