Our significantly backed Client is creating a new line of European Pastries and coffee retail outlets, initially in Abu Dhabi, UAE, but with plans to expand throughout the UAE and beyond.

Our client requires an experienced EXECUTIVE PASTRY CHEF who can bring to the table creative skills in European Pastries and related products such as birthday and wedding cakes.

You will play an integral part in establishing a central kitchen, from which will be supplied two retail outlets initially, expanding to more as the business develops. You will be supported by about 7 kitchen staff, a team which you will be heavily involved with putting together prior to launch date. The team numbers will grow with business expansion.

DUTIES

Running of the central kitchen which will initially service two in-house retail outlets, but will in the future service a growing number of retail outlets, as well as external customers who will buy from the kitchen directly.
Create and supervise the manufacture of European pastries, birthday and wedding cakes, sweets, etc.
Build the kitchen team in conjunction with the General Manager.
Monthly refreshments of menu.
Manage financial and operational aspects, such as procurement of supplies, stock management, and pricing of products.
Staff training and management.
