DESCRIPTION  (This role is considered particularly suitable to an Indian or Filipino National)
  • Oversee HSE awareness, hazard identification, risk assessment & emergency preparedness through training.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits in the workplace against Company and international regulations.
  • Ensure that the Company is operating in compliance with Health Safety and Environment Policies.
  • Preparation, analysis and implementation of Safe Practices Policies at individual work sites.
  • Inspect machinery, equipment and workplace to ensure protective equipment availability and correct usage.
  • Monitor improvements in performance through auditing and job site inspections.
  • Design and install safety signage (informative, directional, regulatory, precautionary, etc) as required.
  • Remain abreast of local and international HSE laws, regulations and norms.
  • Ensure HSE Policy Statements are understood by onshore and offshore personnel.
  • Identify and implement training requirements for offshore personnel.
  • Report to HSE Superintendent on issues relating to the continuous improvement of the HSE Program.
  • Produce weekly report for the HSE Superintendent as a summary of the weeks activities and issues.
  • Attend weekly HSE meetings with the Operations department to document issues and/or concerns.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • Availability to commence employment immediately in Abu Dhabi.
  • At least 5 years progressive experience in administering HSE programs.
  • At least 3 years experience in the oil, gas and petrochemical capital industry.
  • Ability to work 10 hours a day, 7 days a week while ONSHORE (1st - 6th month of employment).
  • Ability to work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week while OFFSHORE (3rd - 9th month of employment).
  • Availability to accommodate onshore and offshore scheduling changes, as required.
  • Bachelor degree relating to Health, Safety or Environmental Engineering disciplines.
  • Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.


ASSETS

  • Arabic language skills.
  • Abu Dhabi or UAE based.
  • UAE or GCC work experience.

REMUNERATION
  • AED 11000 to 13000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • An Offshore per diem is allocated.
  • Accommodation and messing are provided.
