• Carry out water analysis and then interprets all results for consistency
• Perform analysis to measure the chemical composition of seawater, potable water and permeate water
• Collect samples from various monitored sampling points within the plant
• Individually perform all activities and functions within the Desalination Laboratory
• Monitor and coordinate the implementation of approved modifications to enhance plant operation and production
• Identify any abnormalities in plant chemistry and advise operational staff to promptly rectify the situation
  
• Perform laboratory instrument calibration checks using buffer & standard solutions and instrument comparison checks
• Maintain the laboratory equipment in good operating condition
• Inspect the quality of various delivered chemicals for safekeeping and handling
• Issues purchase requisitions for required laboratory materials and equipment
• Draft reports and manage laboratory references
• Enter and manage daily laboratory reports

• At least 3 years experience in an large Power generating plant and/or Desalination plant facility
  
• Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) or Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) degree
• Experience in handling a shift of a Power and/or Desalination plant.
• Well versed of chemistry industry standards, environmental restrictions, and OEM operating procedures. 
• Strong English language skills, both written and verbal
• Availability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays as required
  

• Arabic language skills
• Abu Dhabi or UAE based
  
• UAE or GCC experience
  

REMUNERATION

• AED 9200 - 10000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications
  
• Salary stated above includes accommodation allowance, and transport allowance for to and from work
