A UAE National ASSISTANT OPERATIONS MANAGER is required to help in the planning and operation of Exhibitions with this large semi-government organisation in DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.

The successful candidate will work under the directive of the Operations Manager and in close partnership with the Project teams and inter-departmental teams to plan, direct and manage the operations of the exhibitions organised by our Client to achieve department targets.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Assist in planning, managing and control the budget for executing the operations and logistical requirements for the exhibitions.
• Create and devise innovative and cost-efficient solutions to operational issues and show presentation format.
• Ensure expenditure is planned, managed and controlled within the appropriate limits laid down in the business plan.
• Meet regularly with all relevant contractors and suppliers to ensure that services are provided as required.
• Follow & implement company Policies & Procedures.
• Continually seek opportunities to develop self and if applicable subordinates.
• Implement duties in line with the Quality standards, Security and Health & Safety requirements.
• Implement any other duties as assigned by the Department Head.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• UAE national
• Degree holder - Business Administration or relevant subject.
• Project management, people management and budget formulation skills.
• Proven record of exhibitions operations management.
• 3+ years of exhibitions operations experience in a show organiser capacity.
